Food allergies and
toxins are with us all and are now a fact of life, a curse of our
time.
• Are your energy levels good or do you feel lethargic or
tired all he time?
• How is your memory and retention ability?
• How often do you get a cold? Are you asthmatic?
• Do you have skin eruptions such as acne or eczema?
• Do you suffer with hayfever?
• How many headaches or migraines do you have?
• Do you suffer from digestive problems,
bloating/indigestion/constipation/IBS?
• Do you experience hormonal problems such as PMS, hot flushes or
mood swings?
• Are you struggling with weight gain/loss?
• Are you stressed or feeling blue?
• Are your children having difficulty with learning?
• Do you feel irritated with your partner or children?
In many cases these problems are caused by food intolerances or
toxicity from
household products, pollution, chemicals or antibiotics.
Naturopathic practitioners use non-invasive procedures such as
kinesiology to
identify the particular allergen or toxin that is creating the
problem. After
identification, the most suitable means of eliminating it from the
body is discussed and an individual programme prepared which may
include cancer support, homeopathy, herbal medicine, supplements,
skin brushing, colon therapy etc. For the sake of your immune system
and in order to prevent further illness make an appointment to
discuss your problem.
When people come to me for an assessment of their health I always
discuss their eating habits and their nutrition. I also supply them
with a file of information giving them guidelines as to what they
should avoid and what they should look for in order to gain optimum
health. My main objective is to help people towards thinking for
themselves what they are putting into their body and how it is
affecting their health. What you eat and how you eat it are two very
important points to consider.
Two books I try to include in every interview:
Patrick Holford’s ‘The
Optimum Nutrition Bible’; within these pages lies much advice as to
what we should be putting into our bodies and why we become
seriously ill. The other book is the ‘Montignac diet’. Many of us
are trying to lose weight or to stabilise our weight. Most of us,
fortunately, start off with a healthy pancreas that enables us to
stay slim for many years, despite bad eating habits. However, when
we reach the age of about 30 or 35, and certainly by the 40s we
start to put on weight. The advice found within this book will give
you the help you need.
The Montignac book is based on the Glycaemic Index which measures
how much glucose or sugar is absorbed into the bloodstream after
eating carbohydrates. Within the book you will find food with both
high and low numbers. In order to lose weight it is important to
keep to low numbers. Lentils, for instance have a low GI because
only 25% of the sugar content is absorbed.

health must sacrifice a lot of time one day for illness.”
